Hope that splitter was gas powered!

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

i know this is late, but i just found this area, lol,,,,,, i,m kind of mixed on seeing and hearing about some of this wood, i have a woodshop here and make furniture, not craftsman, but enjoy it for a switch from automotive repair,,, i spend alot of money for some of the timbers bein burnt, i made my daughter a queen size bed out of black walnut, i redid our staircase that was carpeted out of ash,,, all of our wood is import, unless you want mesquite, but I cut up pecan for smoking and look at the grain and think what i could make with that too,,,,,,,, i need to move

I feel the same way DB - then I remember that WALNUT is not suitable for "Q" ... it helps me feel better ... for awhile

.... and anyway - as small as the wood is that I use for "Q" you would be hard-pressed to build much out of it
... a guy can only use so many hand made chess pieces ...

Quality wood giving it's life for quality "Q" - not such a bad trade I'm thinking ... just sayin' :D

Duayne love your daily driver. I've always been a big fan of the late 40's -mid 50's trucks but the 66-73 Chevys always caught my eye, , we used to have a 67 shorted with a nice 327 pushing it around... One of those trucks that make ya wish you would've kept it around
