Chicken and Chops

Post by Mo Smoke » March 2nd, 2019, 8:48 am

Did a little cook last week.. no big game or event...just trying to put a bandaid on my pockets...the restaurant rotation has been getting out of hand lately.

Made a small fire, then threw on a few pork chops, a few chicken wings, and a few burgers to round things out. Had enough for dinner all week.

Looking good nothing like sitting around the fire cooking to help de-stress. The chops look good!

Thanks fellas.. I know I’m probably the only one who feels this way, but I’ll take a good chop over a steak anytime.

The other day I was at harbor freight getting some stuff for my smoker. I was talking to a friend who works there. When this woman walks up and says “smoke has carcinogens in it and is bad for you” I told her I was talking about smoking meat ya know bbq. She said it’s still bad for you. So trying to be as nice as possible, I told her that’s why she wasn’t invited to my house on Sunday for dinner. Lol. My buddy laughed and said some people just shouldn’t but in to others conversations. Lol
I thought to myself... she must be a vegan.

Just the funny thought of the morning.
Y’all have a great one n stay warm.

I cooked these direct over lump charcoal and wood. But I’ll smoke em slow or put em on my gas grill too. They take to any seasoning and As long as u don’t overcook them, Chops are awesome. They’re great fried, but much “healthier” off the grill. Tell that lady we’re health conscious too.

Food looks great... I still prefer the steak, but I had a smoked chop a few weeks ago that was amazing.
