Chicken Cordon Bleu Scotch Egg

Post by bbroper » August 30th, 2014, 6:25 pm

I am not sure about everyone else, but I am extremely happy that College Football has arrived again.

So, to mark the occasion I thought I would try a Chicken Cordon Bleu Scotch Egg.

Take a boneless Chicken thigh and pound it until it is a consistent thickness.

Chicken
Then add the cheese and ham.

Then a small Bacon Weave.

Bacon Weave
Then Wrap and tuck it in nice and neat.

Nice and Neat
And after several Beers... a couple of hours... and some smoke you get.

Sliced
And I must say delicious.... :-bd

Thanks... A lot of the guys around here will take a pork loin and pound it out and stuff it with you name it... Just like a fatty except they use pork instead of sausage.

Tomorrow is Pork Loin, with bacon wrapped apples as an appetizer...

Now that's one I gotta try!

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

I would love to. I was so close to the last one it hurt. I just couldn't get there. We need to have one in Texas. I have some land that would be perfect for a gathering.
