food for today

Post by smokendink71 » August 12th, 2012, 3:02 pm

well today's menu is smoked pork shoulder, which is looking real fine so far.
vac pak shoulder.jpg
in the process of making home made buns to serve it on, got to love fresh bread.

and my cole slaw made with Carolina sauce, man this stuff is good.

dinner will be awesome today, thinking about making some smoked mac and cheese also. I'll be back with some finished pics in a little while.

Thanks Dink.
I saw one done on TV and it took overnight and had so many steps I couldn't even follow it ... I came away from it wondering how you could make something as simple as mac and cheese so complicated ...

here's some huge buns, only need one sandwich today lol.
buns are done.jpg
and here's the mac and cheese heading for the smoker Rick, I think I could handle it just like this but smoked is better.

I'll have more pics in a little while.

Kudos on the smoked mac and cheese. That is an awesome dish. :-)

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.
