Anyone attempted cooking a Goose on a smoker?
Any tips appreciated.
Cheers

I see no reason you couldn't cook a goose as long as you have a dome lid. Another option is to break down the bird into smaller pieces to it fits on a regular UDS.

If you lowered your shelf height I would make sure I use a diffuser plate...

I guess the real question for me would be ... when do you know your goose is cooked?

Personally I can always tell when I get that look from the wife ... never fails :-w

:homer: hehe ... ok back to serious stuff :D

If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone

Cooked It, it was easier than the Christmas one that cooked in an electric oven with proper temp control, and less stress!
Rubbed with Stubbs, something to get through the oil and the game flavour of the goose.
Cooked Hot and Fast with plenty of smoke(Apple) and done to perfection, according to the guests.
I would deff do this again.
I am a technophbe, but a friend has put up pic's on my Cyderpig Q 4 U facebook page.
Cheers
Si
PS Plenty of smoked goose fat to cook my potatoes in!!
