couple months back my friends had idea to cook a whole pig so i decided to build a rotisserie for capable of rotating 140 LB pig

first ever pig roast

I can't see the pictures so give me a idea of what I can use as a motor for a rotiserrie I'm wanting to build the tank is 4x6
I was thinking of a garage door opener

x3 on not seeing the pics.

Wes, Frank and I talked about a direct drive unit. Have you ever seen the elec add on motors for the landing gear on the goosenecks or fifth wheels. You take the hand crank off and add this unit right in its place.

Yeah. Harbor Freight sells one! I was just afraid of it because...well Harbor Freight sells it. Also I think the model they sell you have to have a separate battery and hook it up when you use it (or add a battery box I suppose) instead of running it off power cord.
