Brisket sauce

Post by Mo Smoke » March 9th, 2019, 11:03 am

What flavor profile or type of sauce goes well on brisket? I don’t really think a sweet sauce goes with brisket, especially since it’s usually seasoned with more of a savory flavor.

Who needs sauce on brisket? Why add any?

Check out Amazing Ribs website. There is a recipe that maximizes the natural drippings from the meat. It’s pretty tasty. And I’m with ya. I like a little sauce on just about anything.

I personally like the au-jus off the brisket if i’m just eating a slice. I rate bbq based on how good it is without sauce. I like sauce but it’s a bonus to me. I asked about sauce for brisket because I wanted to know what they use in competitions, or for people who just gotta have sauce on bbq..Also if I make a chopped brisket sandwich, which sauce would be good for that too.
