door design

hey guys, been thinking of a door design, and wanted a little feed back to see what ya all thought, would it be possible to make a door where it would "roll back" (so to speak) on the outside of the tank, been an idea that i been thinking of, but wanted some feed back

There is a double barrel smoker on here, someone just reposted it, it has a rollback door on it. Dont know how it turned pout but it is the only one I have seen :beer:

Trager made a square one back in the day on they're large pits...Drank just made doors for somebody a couple of months ago to replace that rollback design....PM him and I bet he can get you steered in the right direction!

I think the roll back door is a great idea! Sounds like it is a challenge!

Things would have to be just right to keep it from leaking a lot. But steel is easy to correct, looks fun!


Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........
