The price is not to far out of line if at all. If it had a second slide out rack I think it would sell quicker For some reason it draws people to it in my opinion. Be patient I think it will sell sooner or later

I'm with TQ - more racks = more appealing - HOWEVER - the right customer and it won't matter. Just remember the guy running around the meat department with a tape measure … just sayin'

FWIW - I think a lot of people look at any cooker and imagine it full of burgers and weenies so more racks just looks impressive - we all know better but we still do it … :D

Something else to think about is finishing the floor of the trailer and adding a wood rack. Many people who are looking to buy cookers want to purchase something that is complete. They just want to use it and not have to work on it.

I would suggest painted expanded metal about 3/4 #9 or greater. It's nothing to keep clean and the floor won't act like a reflector oven when you're cooking in the sun either …. :D

Did a little work today. Still need to bolt her down, but you get the idea. Adds a lot to the build...thanks to your advice. I am planning on putting a wood box in the front, and on the other side a single propane burner for a pot. Let me know what ya think. Its raining so theres only one thing left to do today......

I guess the materials are way cheaper away from the east coast. I was at the steel place Friday and spent $130.00 for about 1/5 of the supplies I will need to get this tank to smoker status so for about $650 and that's probably not including some of the enhancements I have in my head. The tank was free. I still also want to add some kind of trailer or rollable stand for it also. Once I add the firebox, I still need 12 more inches on the opposite side just for level clearance.. not even any extra height for comfortable cooking, I am sure it need to raise the entire thing at least 18-20".

I see that going for $2000 or more around here...problem is not many people are into BBQ ...they like that yuppie exotic French or Italian...Thai, Indian ...I think I may be a " good ole boy" just living in the wrong place !

Yea, most people around here think good bbq is a McRib sandwich. I'm in Bucks County, PA and there are NO bbq joints around. I'm hoping the current bbq "craze" on TV will inspire some entrepreneurs. Where at in Joisey?

About 7-8 miles from Great Adventure ( what they call Six Flags). I whole heartedly agree.....maybe those TV shows WILL inspire some action. Years back when I was in Florida and the surrounding states, we stopped at Sonny's pit bar b que for lunch. That alone started me on this quest. It has been lying dormant for 25 years but its back with a vengeance. I had mentioned elsewhere on the forum that ....my wife is a fantastic cook and baker but lately after watching those BBQ programs when she asks what I would like for dinner ... Nothing sounds that great....I really wanted some BBQ

I occasionally travel down thru Huntsville Alabama for work, next time I'm gonna look up some of the BBQ places and grab a bite..I'll bring you back a sandwich

We're almost neighbors. I'm only 10 minutes from Trenton. In fact, now that I think about it, someone told me there's a bbq joint in the Trenton Farmers Market. I go to the Polish store in there every once in a while and will check it out. Oh, and if you like good Polish sausage, make the trip. Shouldn't be more than 1/2 hour from you.

I'll be waiting for that sandwich, BTW.
