That's a fat 120, or at least that is the nickname I hear down these parts. I have seen many of these with the FB centered under it. Great smokers and minimal fuel use. I've seen them set up as reverse flow too but was most impressed with the center box set up.
If it can't be smoked .... try frying it. It that don't work, it's probably best just left alone
center box setup is just what he was saying the fire box in located in the center of the cook chamber as opposed to the end of the tank as a normal rf would be. The BP is open at both ends and heat and smoke travel up the center, down to both ends of the CC and up across the meat. and out the stack. Just a different way to do a rf.
I'm the only one with a vizion... everyone else wears biphocals...
120's make a great unit. They can go patio or trailer. A 30 wide lets the ribs stack front to rear and they work great. I'll take one for the team by jumping on that grenade if you don't want it!
The only thing to consider when making a center feed is the FB must be sealed well so you can turn it down as you don't loose any heat it all goes through the CC. Like a UDS, once it gets to temp you will need to start shutting down the air supply.

lol I have decided to go with a 55 x 30 Dia 120 gal lp tank. Making it a FR unit and once i get my tank (hopefully Friday) i will order plans for the build. This is my first build and besides plans what else do i need to order? Temp. gauge?? let me know what I should order.
I have a tank the same size that I plan to do a CF. I'm still sharpening my crayons to get it on paper. Just need time to get it outta my scrambled brain.
