Pit Calculator

Post by ironsmoker55 » March 27th, 2016, 7:34 pm

I am new to this forum and have learned a lot already. My question is, is there a calculator that will show you a schematic of the cooker after you plug your numbers in?

Yep.....it will cost you $79 but will include all dimensions and drawings for all the pieces!

Seriously, no.

You might check out the plans on the site as many of us, myself included, have purchased the complete plans to cut back on our learning curve. Frank is quite knowledgable and does a great idea on his plans. You can follow them start to finish or just grab a few ideas from them and use your own ideas. I found them well worth the cost.

And, forgot to add, welcome to the group. Ask away and let us know where you are on your build so we can follow along.

Thank you guys. I just like grabbing some ideas from y'all. I am pretty handy at welding and fabricating. I built a pig roaster last year and have been wanting a reverse flow smoker since then. Don't worry, I will try my damndest to search for all my answers before asking. I know some groups really trash people for not searching first. Haha

Welcome!
The site has a pit calculator. If you have issues with the terminology you may check out Feldon's Pit Calculator. But definitely cross check your calcs with Smoker Builders calculator. I just personally found the Feldon's more user friendly. However, Feldon's is frowned upon on here by some.
Good luck!

Welcome!

I've never seen anyone bashed for asking a question. Read as much as you can and check out the Smoker terminology thread in my sig. It'll get you speaking the lingo and the acronyms.

If it's tourist season, how come I can't shoot 'em?
