Pretty sure they don't make tanks like that anymore!

Looks like a great start.

I don't think they make them like that anymore either, that rascal looks heavy! Those hinges are nice too. If they ever start getting a little slack you can fix them by just adding another short part on the other side of the long side. They last for ever that way.

Well at least as long as I have seen them last. I don't really know what for ever looks like. But I feel like I do!

this is the overall appearance of the rig, the work now is on the inside including water pan and adjustable grates that hopefully will be able to swing out and height adjusted for each grate,a rotating top rack having hooks for hanging rib slabs. open for any input for I know I am surrounded by awesome builders and cooks...thanks for comments and interest

Sorry. I can't help but think about using a little acetylene and oxy. To see if that sucker will fly. Looking good.

another rack installed I changed my mind about rib hooks in the top just would have taken up to much room unless I made a rack removable.i am gonna install two air vents on firebox.put handle on main door.install some padeyes on top for lifting this beast because it is heavy,
I am thinking of an olive drab color accented in black for color scheme and maybe ''ARMY'' cut from 1/2'' plate welded on the top I will be appealing to the Fort Benning crowd when it goes up for sale

just thinking I may make the top rack removable and install hooks and racks for hanging ribs it would make it more versatile. who wants a smoker you cannot cook rib slabs in....all interest is really appreciated and yes it is a heavy built rig.

rib hooks and top rack is removable...not real happy with it just yet but ready to get rid of it...still have the firebox vents to build and finish some welding then paint.
