Hello from Czech Republic!

Post by tmaven » July 24th, 2018, 3:03 am

Hi guys! Found this awesome forum during my next pit project research.

I bought my first smoker 2 years ago (Weber Mountain Smoker). Then I built my own - 47"x24" (picture).

Now I want to do "bigger step" - 1000gallon smoker. Unfortunately I still cannot find proper gas tank to use it.

1000 gallons = 3700 liters

So far I found tanks with diameter 50" (125cm) to fit 1000 capacity, but I think that is too much (looking for 40").

what are dimensions of 1000 gallon tank in US?

Thanks guys! :)

If you can't find a tank just get your local steel shop to roll you a tube in 6mm plate. Probably cost you less as well. And if you keep on the right side of them when you cut out your doors you can get them to run the doors through the roller to match them to your tube.

Post pics of your build.
