Hi everyone. Been lurking for a long time, and I have been a member for several years on the BGE forums. I have built smokers and charcoal grills for the past 40 years. I work for an Electric & Gas Utility, so most of my crews are outdoor cooks. Some have pellet grills, smokers, Kamado's, and the standard Weber kettles. Most have at least 1 grill or smoker that I have built for them. I have also made them custom nests and tables for their BGE's or Kamado Joes. It's been a fun hobby.

I am retiring after 41 years, so I plan to do a lot more BBQ cooking, and fabrication work. I cook every weekend for our large family events, and 2-3 tmes a week for my and the wife. Always looking to invent the "better mouse trap", and I enjoy looking at your builds for ideas.

My neighbors always comment on how good it smells in the neighborhood when I am cooking! Looking forward to being able to contribute!

Sounds like you are going to get in trouble here....

And that’s a good thing!

Welcome. Look forward to your builds.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford
