Hi Y'all,
I live in Vallecito, Co. I started smoking with a Little Chief smoker some 20 years ago and moved up to the Big Chief and now several smokers later am using a Costco special vertical gas smoker. I am now collecting parts for my reverse draft smoker I will build. In th mean time I have designed a simple smoke generator for the vertical to improve it flexibility. Cold smoking and more immediate smoke when hot smoking. My biggest problem is that I live in a softwood forest and am buying my hardwood in little plastic bags.

Welcome EH! glad you found us - we don't have much of the right wood in Nebraska either - have you tried calling around to try to find some orchards? - catch 'em at clean-up time - apple is great for cooking ... 
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
