HOWDY

Post by BOUDREAUX75 » August 10th, 2011, 10:29 pm

New to your site. I have a refrig smoker I built about a year ago. Works great. In the the near future I plan on building a smoker out of a commercial water heater I scored from a plumber friend of mind. Its 3/16" thick about 5ft long and 30" in dia. I'm from a little country town in east Texas.

Welcome to the site. Look forward to the build as well. Like Frank said, those hot water heaters tend to have a special lining in them and also the actual tank may be galvanized. But that is your standard home water heater. Not sure about something that big. The tank dims sound perfect.
