Looks great!
you might check the total sq inches of opening for your air inlets tho.

Thanks! They are 6" diameter, and there will be 2 more on the firebox door for a total of six, so that should be around 84 sq in of openings which is actually slightly more than necessary. Never hurts to double check though before it's all done. I'm glad you guys pay attention to that stuff, I would hate to get it all done and realize something was wrong!

Since it is going to be so heavy, we were having a tough time figuring out the best way I could move it by myself, while taking into consideration the heat around the firebox when in use. I wasn't really sure what to do, thought about just putting legs on it and then using a furniture mover or some sort of dolly. The guy I hired to build it came up with a better plan, steel feet with removable wheels! I like this design. It's functional and looks cool too. Smoke stacks and firebox door handle/latch have now been welded on as well. All the doors are gonna need some heat to flatten them back out a bit, but other than that, everything is going smooth. B-)

It looks heavier than it is, because everything is really pretty thin. Your doing great! I was wondering though how you may support those racks in the middle, when you load them up they look like they may sag alot. I'm also concerned about those tires next to the fire box. I'm thinking they may get too hot. Not trying to be critical, just trying to help.

Thanks for the concerns. We are going to put a support in the back with tabs the racks will slide on to to support the middle a bit. They still might sag a little in the front, but it shouldn't be too bad (I hope). The wheels on the firebox are removable and have steel feet behind them that the smoker will sit down on when in use.

Close-ups, test fire run. Just a few finishing touches left and then time to paint! It's cool seeing someone make my ideas come to life.

Sorry I'm late to the party. The boss has been riding me like a carnival pony. That Frank Cox guy never shuts up... =))

The build looks awesome! I like the open center. LOTS O' ROOM!

Here is the most recent thread I have. I will get pics up of the newest iteration soon. I hope. :needtogo:
