Little Boy Atomic Smoker

Post by Thedge_1 » July 3rd, 2013, 5:11 pm

Hey there,
I in the design phase of building a smoker of the reverse flow design. I have a water tank that was used for a well. It has a bladder in it, not sure how that is gong to work?? Looking for information on dimensions for fire box, baffle plate, dampers, etc.

First thing is to determine if the tank is galvanized or pure steel....second is to run the dimesions of the tank thru the pit calculator and see what your options are...

If you can't fix it by sheer force or cursing......then it can't be fixed.....

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

Thank you for the welcome. I have run the calculator not sure how to use some of the info yet.
What I'm trying to do is build this smoker to look like an actual bomb. So to that end I would like to avoid a vertical flue, if that is even possible. Also how critical is the opening in the baffle plate?
I'm sure I'll have more ? soon.
