Hello all!

Post by IceBullit » December 22nd, 2014, 11:48 pm

Hello everyone,

Found this forum by chance when searching pictures of different smoker designs on the internet. I am a pipe welder by trade and am always bring pieces of pipe scrap home to mess with and decided to finally make a smoker... I have always wanted to but have never committed to actually doing it.

I look forward to searching through the forums for the information that I need, from the looks of it there are more than a few experts on the subject here. I will post my build when I start on it, I look forward to getting a start on it.

-Arthur

Congrats on pulling the trigger. I still remember the excitement of the planning stages of my build, and to see it coming together bit by bit has been very satisfying. I would say having the support and helpfulness of this site has been a god-send. Good luck, welcome aboard, and can't wait to see what you come up with.

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

Hi IceBuilt... Have you a style in mind? What are your requirements for the amount of food it typically would produce on an average cook.

I failed to ask myself this question and built a fantastic 275 gallon , trailer mounted, smoker. The greatest part about it was that the first cook was over 120 lbs of ribs. The last 15 or so have been 2-4 slabs and 1 chicken and the results are the same....excellent

Good luck....pictures, pictures pictures!

Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
