New builder saying "Hello"

Post by BBQJeff » July 10th, 2017, 10:36 am

Hello, and thanks to the forum for accepting me.

I've been lurking after doing an internet search for an upcoming smoker build, my first, and decided to join this forum.

I've been BBQ'ing and smoking for quite a while, but have only started to get more serious about it in the past couple years. My wife purchased a Weber small upright smoker for me 3 years ago, and I also have been using a Weber kettle grill with rotisserie. As everybody who has a Weber knows, they are ok, but the door stinks, and they lose a lot of heat everytime they are opened.

I'm through with wrestling with that thing. I will post a new thread will plenty of questions in the appropriate sub-forum, reverse flow smokers, but wanted to be forum-correct and say "hello" first.

Thanks.

Welcome to the crew.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford
