I`ll bring it up to date!, this is how the wheels look at the moment!
this is one of the 300mm ( 12" ) wheels I made alongside the smoker
I am going to put 220mm (9") wheels on the front and try and make them into castors, this is the first attempt at the 220mm wheels
this is 2nd attempt, with the first one I had trouble welding the spokes, so with this one I drilled the rims and rosette welded them from the outside of the rim
a much cleaner finish,
these are the axles for the casters, I fluked it and got them the same size!!
axle in the wheel,
the 2 wheels clamped to a piece of angle for effect,
another pic showing the rosette weld!, Thanks for looking!
If my wife saw something like that in my shop she would say; "Looks like something somebody else made!"
Great job!

Not a happy Jan!!, we loaded up Ironfire to take her down and get sand blasted, all good!, picked her up this arvo!, and they don`t take eftpos!!, so I go and get the cash and when I get back they have her on the tipper, and my brother and the owner of the blasting crowd are looking at the CC door! , did you know there was body filler in that pipe he asks!, body filler I say!, that is made out of a truck drive shaft and no I didn`t, when I look there`s a bloody great dent and goudge( How ever you spell that! ), stay calm Alan I think! .
Then I look over and my new front caster wheel is cockeyed, what happened there I ask!, Oh it went like that while I was moving it around in the blast room, he says! , OK it could of happened, yeah like Fu@&!.
By this time I have paid and he disappears, so home we go, I followed my brother( here after know as chook), back to my joint and I notice the lever handle for the fire box outlet dampner is bent .
I can`t explain how pissed off I am, lucky it`s pub night! thats all I can say!.
thats better my veines aren`t boldging now! I do have pic`s but I will post them tomorrow, the before and after type!

found more damage today!, I have finished painting it and was putting her back together to fire her up and the FB door would not shut!! , when I cast my beady eye over it I could see the top hinge on the fire box had been pushed in! , I don`t believe this f$#@king shight!, and the wheel on the same side siezed up while I was rolloing her out to the launch pad
This has to be a case for justifiable mercy killing!........... ...so the damage count is now at 5!
I have managed to get it to close, just!, with the help of my number BIG lump hammer, pic`s of door to follow! , did I mention I`m lousy at painting!

I read this thread on your smoker build with growing respect and envy. What a beautiful smoker! Love to see more as you progress on the project. I'm no fabricator, but wish I could build something that nice. How much experience have you had with smoking / building before you took on this project?
