My first was an ECB

Post by Smoke_Chef » June 6th, 2012, 11:44 pm

My first smoker was the El Cheap'O Brinkman from Walmart. The hard to use upright ones. It's a wonder I still smoke meat. Now, I've heard of some folks getting along with it alright but I hated that thing!! I found it very hard to use out of the box. I found a list of mods to do to it on a different site. After completing those, I was able to kick out some good eats but never really got to the point that I enjoyed it. Then one day, I saw the two door Brinkman at Home Depot on sale and snatched it up. I haven't looked back since. It's to small and the metal isn't much thicker than a pop can but it's hands down better than the ECB. Still, I can't wait to get my build underway. I'm planning a trailer mounted reverse flow hybrid. I'll post more about that later.

Good smoking all,

So I'm new here and I don't remember much about my first smoker. Just that it was big and heavy. I was about 24 at the time and some friends and I were playing with it out in my backyard. :BDHorse:
