New to the site, relatively new to smoking

Post by WilkesGrndPoundr » September 19th, 2015, 11:55 am

Hey there, new to the site. Just recently got into meat smoking in May. My first smoker is a Charbroil Vertical Charcoal cabinet. I've had to modify it slightly and still using it. I'm now on the path of building my own small trailer mounted offset box, reverse flow smoker using a 275 gal fuel oil tank. I'm hoping to be able to pick some brains about the build when I really get going.

Welcome to the crew! Since you call an 275 small I look forward to the large smoker you build down the road.

Making memories.

My wife and I can't eat the 30 plus rack of ribs or 28 whole chickens it can cook and to heat up a giant space like this is not right for me even with acres and acres of oak. RC is right that this is a good sized build and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Good luck and post those pictures !

Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
