Hello from Virginia!

Post by Irunwire » January 18th, 2016, 9:40 pm

Wanted to stop in and say hello! Just started a build on a 60 gallon smoker. Have not figured out if I want to go traditional or reverse flow. I see there is tons of info here and can not wait to get some good advise.

I have a traditional offset of about that size. I loose almost a third of the cooking area closest to the firebox as it is too hot. It works great but is limited by usable grill space. Used it for years and makes great food.

Currently building a reverse flo. Not anywhere close to completion but my hope is to have more usable rack space and more even temps across the chamber.

Either will work...depends on your priorities.
