Howdy from Vermont..........

Post by GreenSmoker » December 6th, 2011, 10:24 am

Fairly new to smoking, I've been living at The Smokering for a while and just found this site. I have built a 60 gallon offset, a uds and a mini-uds and an offset hybred (RF and tuners) from a 100 lb propane. In process of another 100 RF. I haven't wandered the site yet but, anything Smoker related is a good place to be. See ya round, thanks. Steve C.

Rod and Rick are buds and we worked together to build these. We finished my 60 gal and needed 1 per man so off we went. Nothing fancy, just good cooking units. Rod's 100 is sweet as a rf/tuner unit. Rick has used his muds for family and they loved the results.

Quooole rigs ! :points: Wish I was there to offer stupid suggestions but it looks like you guys are prolly covered in that department... Careful Frank - These guys have a tractor with a front-end loader to do some lifting - your forklift has some competition... :LG: ...and thanks for the pics.

Aw well, all ways a bridesmaid never the bride. The defuser is a good thing. I have cooked on it 3 times, 14 lb bird, meatloaf and sausage and such. The bird took 3hrish and was moist and that is my level of knowledge. I think at some point I will try a water pan and see what that may do. Mystery meat (M/L) is bodacious on it.

I was not sure how a 16 inch pan worked in a 22 inch drum, seems fine.
