Yes, indeed. If you have purchased the DP Gravity Feed, you might want to check with Frank about getting the whole kit. Obviously depending on price it looks like the way to go. If it is the standard or mini then check in with Frank or as BigT said, someone who has recently built the model you have might chime in.
And welcome to the crew.
Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Thanks for the quick response guys, I appreciate it. I got the GF cabinet smoker, not the Double Pan. My uncle was a master welder on submarines for years and he’s now retired. So I’ve recruited him. Not in a big rush, but I am trying to get a feel for the cost. I’m in the building products industry so I am constantly reminded of the cost of steel these days. Has anyone built this model recently?
I seem to recall someone asking about cost on one of these a while back. Comes down to new vs used metal and location. I, personally, wouldn’t start one unless I had $1500-2000 at my disposal. All the little things really add up but it’s nice that thebuild time can be adjusted to accommodate funds.
i had$1,100 stuck into mine when it was all said and done...minus the temp controller. I had someone shear the all the plate steel for me and that is included in the price.

could be worse. I just got a quote for much more just for the sheet cut.
