Newbie

Post by Dees » April 3rd, 2021, 9:40 pm

Hi All, and thanks SP for adding me.
My name Dee from Malaysia. Learned about low n slow cooking about 1.5 years ago and have been practicing with a grill, then hit a bullet smoker, now thi.king of having someone build one.
My challenge is not being a technical builder of any kind myself, I wanted to get plans for the Dbl Pan GF, but because the folks here aren't expose to low n slow, let along a GF cooker, I didnt know if the plans included where insulation and height of the charcoal chute should be.
Anywho's, I was told to touch base here and check out the forum to see if there were information from the pros here.
Thanks ahead and wishing you all a safe and happy weekend!

The plans will include drawings, dimensions, individual part breakdowns, and enough general information that anyone who can weld and follow directions will be able to build it. The plans do a great job of laying out each piece with dimensions and then show you how to build each sub-assembly and finally how to put everything together. Yes, it shows where hinges, shelves, the charcoal chute and insulation goes as well.

Best part is many of the folks on this site have built one so getting "real experience" help and information is only a post away.

Good luck with whatever you decide to build. Must be a pretty cool feeling to bring a type of cooking into an area that has not experienced it before. I can only imagine you are going to be pretty popular in the near future!
