Definitely a sweet unit, really happy with how it came out. Just getting used to running it, getting it dialed in. Breaking it in as i write this. :) Just had to go back and order a longer stem door thermometer.

Thanks Guys ! How do you get your smoker up to temp ? Full air and wide open chimney ?

I always used to leave the side door wide open & sometimes use the air blower on my compressor to get it going(not full blast of course) & it's would take about 2hrs. Then I got my CyberQ & it takes about 30-45mins now, that thing is amazing!

I always leave my stack wide open as well. :kewl:

I start the charcoal with the propane. Since I have a Cyber Q it helps get it going but I use a BBQ Dragon and it gets up to temp in about 10 minutes.

How long of a stem on the Thermometer did you end up purchasing? I am currently doing the same build and that is one of the questions I asked on this site. Do you also use high temp caulk on the inside to seal the stem?

I got a 4" stem from River Country for my mini & I didn't use any sealant, the supplied washer seems to be enough. :kewl:
