I see. I got the panels all cnc'd so I'll have to figure a way of bending them [emoji32]

Doh! You could check your local engineering shop & see if they have a bending break. :kewl:

Just realised ... Next job is the firebox, once the FB is in, will there be enough space to weld the air intake pipe?

Nice work dude, looks awesome! :kewl:

I know what you mean about the frame, I left the front upright off till I got the FB in with the inlet already attached, but I'm pretty sure I mentioned leaving out the right pieces of the frame(don't think I specifically said that piece though, doh! My bad :?)

Don't stress over it too much dude, it's only metal. Even if you have to cut the upright out to get the FB in, you can always weld it back into place & it will be just as strong. You can even fill the biggest gaps by stitch welding it, it'll be good as new. :kewl:

Well the other less destructive option would be to install the valve on the door.

Alternatively as I did with the DP you can weld a short pipe coupler to the FB and then merely screw the pipe nipple into it, tack weld it so it does not unscrew and you are done and dusted.

It's going painfully slow. 3 days of solid work, then 3 weeks waiting for the materials to get cut.

Sometimes a break in-between is a good thing. You can look at the sequence of build and make sure you are doing OK and head off potential issues before they happen.
And like the old adage states: Good things take time.

So the CNC'd bits arrived today. Now I can do the legs and firebox.

Got a pic of the grate, made from 12mm plate.

I'll upload pics of the rest as I weld them up.Image
