Swedish double pan

Post by Grillbiten » October 9th, 2017, 2:29 pm

Hello everybody.
Today i started the build of my double pan gravity feed smoker. Yesterday was the first time ever i tried to weld:) have spent a lot of time watching weld movies on youtube and läst friday i bought myself a brand New 190A mig welding machine, yesterday my father in law helped me set up the machine and showed me how to get started. I decided to start with the frames för the doors today and it took me 3 hours to get them together and grind the welds. Pretty satisfied with my work today, and hope i Will continue tomorrow. I ordered all of the tubing cut so all i have to do is to weld it together:)

That's great you are making progress. Just a thought, you are putting insulation inside the tubes before you weld them up right? Because it is a real pain to put the insulation in afterwards... ask me how I know. :D

Nice, almost time for Q-view. I'm just a tad worried about those large rubber wheels so close to the door opening etc. Were it mine I think I'd put a heat shield in the shape of motorcycle wheel guard on just to be safe. But then perhaps I'm just a tad CDO.
Nice job you've done so far, looking forward to finished pics and Q-view.
