A guy asked me if I wanted an old char griller the kind that is mainly a gas grill with a firebox hanging off the side because he was moving and wanted to get rid of it. I said sure. So when he went to bring it over it was so rusty most of it disentigrated and I came home to nothing but the lid to the gas grill and the side fire box sitting in my driveway. I thought "really?" But I don't waste anything so I flipped the lid upside down and welded some legs on and that was our fire pit for the last couple competitions last year. Today I finally did something with the firebox. I welded a patch in the old throat opening and welded up all the extra bolt holes, then added a stack and some legs. Turned into a nice little travel grill/smoker.

Mike, you are such an inspiration. I finally figured out a use for that thing in my backyard.

Replace the mass air flow sensor so it will burn correctly. Don't cheap out on that.

Some of the smaller stores won't have them. It needs to be a corporate store with the apple I store.
