Wow! I have the baffle plate and what a difference! Now I am using the whole smoker! I was going to make my own but once I looked into the time, labor and materials, THERE WAS NO COMPARISON and shipping was fast, NEXT DAY FAST!

I just ordered the gaskets, extra temp gauge and a couple extra toggles to be used on the fire box. My question would be what would you add next, would the baffle kit be the one or fire box?

I would add the baffle plate in the cook chamber to even out the temps.

I think you made the right choice. The guys that have them seem to wonder how they ever got by without them.
