I thought the 190 proof Everclear that's not legal in every state was the good stuff that's hard to find :D I was planning on just waving the cider cap over the batch and stirring the ice cubes in my glass with a cinnamon stick

I think that is about what I paid for Musselmens.....and Tom you are always a nut!!!! =))

Solo.....some states allow 190 proof and some only 151.....I think you could use Absoulute as a substitute?

:D I just need to drive out into the countryside and look for smoke. I'm sure one of my uncles down here has an active still. The tricky part is living long enough to get H O W D Y out before the shotgun goes off. 8-x

Some clarification..is that 1/5 of a fifth bottle, or an entire fifth of Everclear?

150 ml, or 750 ml?

Thanks Solo...now to find a place in Michigan that sells Everclear. I've actually never seen it here...and when I was in college we used to have to travel to Indiana to get it.

I also add about 10 whole cloves it really adds to the flavor, you can also do this with vodka although it won't be as potent

Using Vodka instead of Everclear should only mean that you will remember having it the next day after 3 or 6 of them.

If you can't find the 190 proof I'm fairly certain you can find 151. That's in the right ball park for kickability. You'll still end up with embarassing photos but at least you should be able to find your clothes. :-bd

Good theory Solo! :bigfoot:

BBQ is just smoke and beers!
Usually more beers than smoke.

When I turned 21 so many years ago my dad decided he wanted to be the first one to take me bar hopping. A town of 10,000 might have 30 bars in rural Illinois, so it could be a long night. (college campus parties were foreign to him so he was confident he was gonna put me over the edge for sure :D ) Anyway several hours into the evening and way too many drinks to really count we discovered we couldn't find the car! Damn was my step mother one pissed off lady when she showed up about an hour later. To speed things up dad had asked the bartender to call and just tell her the name of the place to come get us ... what we didn't know at the time was that we were 17 miles away in a totally different town and she didn't have a clue where this bar actually was. Evidently the car was still parked back in the home town where we had started out and neither of us remembered catching a ride! :-j
