Set the smoker to about 235, oil up the lap top with some EVOO and let'er run for about 4 hours or until the familiar pale blue has turned to a deep rolling grey. When you think you have hit a good intenal temp, pull'er out and place on a solid surface. Beat with hammer until you can no longer recognize. There ... nothing a good smoke can't cure.

Backup, Backup, BACKUP!! Many sites online where you can backup your data or invest in a portable hard drive that you can use to backup you (new) computer. I also would recommend using something called Microsoft Sync Toy. It backs up new and changed files only (once you have a full backup). Tough lesson learned bro.

Check into a program called Acronis for backing your computer up.
