Call me when you get time, I would love to bring the trailer up, should have most of it done and maybe even an extra bed of two. My rig has no AC though. YET !!

I'm being selfish but how about August 10,11,12? - meet Edna's Kids at the Weeping Water contest for a get-together - 25 miles east of Lincoln. If you are heading for KCMO from Des Moines then that would be almost on the way Mac ... about 2 hours north/west of St. Jo for the MO folks ... for what it's worth ...

TWSS will be in weeping water those days also. Hope you can make it!

At this point we will be in Weeping water for breakfast with Rick on the 10th, unless that was the grog talking when he said he`ll cook brekkie for us!!

Ok, so I called the staff at the Camp Branch Campground in Smithville, MO today. They have a great campground with all the things you could possibly need and it is right on the golf course and Smithville Lake. Very nice place! I need to get a head count to reserve the spots for anyone wanting to bring a trailer or RV so the sites will be saved for us. The guy on the phone encouraged me to keep the date at September 15th so he can ensure enough open spots. He said beginning and end of the month are very busy. Here is a link to the website for the park. He said it is up to date.

The KCI airport is only 9 miles away and I will be available as well as others to pick anyone up at the airport that would like to fly in. I have room for a couple people in our trailer and you can also camp onsite in tents or stay in any of the local motels if you like.
This is gonna be a great time!!!
Don't forget to bring a smoker if you want!

I hope I have read all this correctly - By filling out the form in the link above I'm assuming we are ALSO registered with the campground and I don't need to call them directly and prepay? Also their website says no spots reservable so I'm guessing they waived that for our group..?

The form does not register you for the campground, I have to do that myself. I will call them starting this week and then send a paypal request for the lot rental.
I think they went ahead and reserved the camp ground for us that day. it is huge so I dont think it will be a problem getting spots.

Yep, that's smack in the middle of apple harvest so I'll be knockin out some pie stock. Always next year for me and that gives me a chance to pencil in some off days at work. Hell, if they had their way we'd all just get our mail forwarded here and get family visits at the front gate.
