Are sales allowed on the forum?

Post by Quid Pro Q » June 23rd, 2016, 10:10 am

I've got 3 sets of brand new latches I decided not to use. If sales are allowed, I'll post them.

I'm pretty sure that there's no selling allowed on the forum.

I think this type of sale would be alright. Trying to market on this site will bring the "Spam Hammer".

To be honest, I'd kinda like to see "the" hammer.

I'll bet it's made of plastic. :D

Dang in czar, now I'm hungry again. A slice of cheese, couple pieces of bread and that spam hammer will disappear.

Seriously tho, This guy has a couple of leftover parts to get rid of and is not making any money off them. The problem is I'll bet we all have stuff in our garage that we want to part out so is there a way to do it without turning this site into a rummage sale?

We got a guy selling "rubs" -and that sounds like a for profit business- and nobody shut him down so where is the line drawn? I kinda like the no soliciting but that's just my humble vote.

Sorry.....I opened the can of worms now...... :oopssign:

I kinda like Dts idea. Maybe a trade, swap, sell for bbq stuff? Could include metal working tools also? I know I've got stuff that I can unload that could help others.

Just being nosy here but what makes an honorary member? Not meant to stir the pot or anything cause this is my favorite site on the interweb.

He's been with the original guys that started the site from early on from what I understand. He's not pushy on his sales. Or hasn't been the past 1.5 I've been a member. This the second time he's announced he's making some rubs in my time here.
I was just being silly with the "honorary" member.
I've bought from him. He has some good stuff.
I do not have problem how he handles his business on here. It's not excessive.
As far as folks wanting to trade, announce ya got something and PM for more info.

I would say we could get Pete to include a topic on the new forum that could be a place for us to do this that may not be a problem. We currently have a link for http://www.bbqswapper.com/ at the bottom of the home page.

How about a section on the board of index for a swap and sell . Might be beneficial to a lot of members..
