Pace has been pretty slow the past several months HOWEVER getting the doors on sure made me FEEL GOOD!!!
Plan to get a weight soon and then order axles and start on trailer. Really thinking about adding a grill on the opposite side for just steaks and burgers...dunno yet.
Whoa! Forty, between the baby and this cooker you have struck gold! Seeing this in person must be exciting. I wanna see you move it. That has got to be a big job as well. I guess you're not lighting this up for just a couple of ribs?
When you fire it up, I'd love to read about times and temperatures.
Make no mistake, there ain't no powder in this Puff ! And... I'm not really a crazy person but I play one in real life
Have two forklifts. Both are 12000# machines and forks are adjustable. Also excavators and loaders. Due to the round bottom gonna have to get it outside and handle it with chokers prolly.
Thanks for the positive feedback.
Are you actually able to weigh this smoker? I see RC s estimate. Wonder what that number is. Took my 275 to a metals recycler last year and their scales said 980lbs with the entire setup on the trailer as it looks in the avatar picture. I thought it would be more.

Yes I will be able to weigh it on the scales where I work. Which is where the pit is. The scale house weighs logs and paper. Getting it to the scales is the hurdle. But we have some ideas. Prolly shutdown until after thanksgiving. In Houston today. My brotherinlaw is having open heart surgery (at 44). Plan to head back home tomorrow. Go to the deer camp until Monday or Tuesday. Go to work Wednesday for sure get everyone paid. Then be off until Monday. Hunt the rest of the week. Get on the cooker the week after turkey day. Get it weighed and start on the trailer.
My guesstimate on the pit not over 4200. I truthfully have no idea.
