Thanks to all that provided advise, suggestions and encourage and to Redneck. He's not on here but he taught me how to weld on this dream of mine.

Amigo and Redneck/Sunshine/Mike Owen. Amigo helped a lot with the RF before he moved to work with family in Texas.

I'm one happy fat fella!! Not enough thanks to the SmokerBuilders site can be said. After this past weekend it just raised the bar higher!

I feel like part of the family now!

I can confirm it works like a dream. I have to say it isn't the setup for everyone, but it is the setup everyone would like to say they made. Fine workmanship and design, I personally would love to have it, even if I did have to get a bigger pickup.

Very sweet rig!

Truthfully, the pictures don't do it justice. It is much more impressive in person. I'm glad I had the privilege to witness it in action!

Ok, so I was in and out on this thread working under cover. But. I did pay close attention to the fire basket. And let me say WOW when I saw it in person. I had it in my head that the basket was a little large, but in person it was simply OMG. Had FORTY say maybe sat in the basket for at least one of the pics. Then all would have been in prospective.

"Caesar" Approves!!! I've reached the pinnacle!!!

Thanks all! This build started 1/12/15, well that was the first cut. Planning started many many years ago. The it got real late December 2014 when I found this future family. I hope to be able to help others with what I've learned.

Incredibly old thread, but don't blame me. The second child is likely walking and talking by now. I think it was RC that posted the link in another thread. After about page 10 I went pictures only and didn't read much. This is an amazing cooker for sure. Thanks for sharing your build. Hopefully with my post someone else will go thru 18 pages.

Reed has brought the rig out to a couple of the gatherings, it takes center stage for sure. The cover helps a lot, first gathering he brought it, there were walnuts falling from the trees and it sounded like baseballs were hitting the cover. They might have knocked someone out.
