Starting a mobile bbq business

Post by Fordf100 » August 3rd, 2013, 8:00 pm

Thinking about doing a 250 gal propane tank smoker build and doing a mobile bbq business ( ya know graduations, weddings stuff like that) anyone know how much hassle it is to do as far as health dept. regulations ect..???? Any insight would be welcomed. Thanks in advance!

It's best to call your local health department… It will very usually from state to state and county to county…

But typically things that are necessary here are things such as… Hot and cold water… Freshwater tank… Graywater tank… Three compartment sink....

So it's easiest just to call them.....

one thing to keep in mind is how often you will be doing an event. the health departments are usually a little easier on temporary and special events.

Good idea to start with local health rules for equipment, then you have to remember all the food safety rules to prevent cross contamination and have a way to keep cold stuff cold and hot stuff stay hot where you set up. Can be fun but always be safe. Mark
