Fathers Day Brisket on my WSM 22

Post by Leukic » June 19th, 2018, 7:38 pm

Just like the title says. 15lb whole packer trimmed comp style to little to no fat. Rubbed and smoked for 7 hours then wrapped in Foil with 1 cup of water, Smoked for another 3hrs, took off the WSM and put in a cooler for 3 hours to rest.

That looks so yum... :kewl:

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford

That does look good. Have you tried beef broth or Worcestershire sauce instead of water before wrapping ?

Worcestershire and a little Apple juice mix is awesome about 3/4 cup combined total. I also use a small spray bottle with apple juice as a mister to help juiciness and flavor. Occasionally I use a different juice flavor (cherry, peach...)
