I agree. I was getting lazy and didn’t want to drill them lol. I just wanted those buzzards on.

So I cut out the door entirely, put the strap on and then the gasket. Now my problem is I can’t tell if the door is sitting inside the cutout because the gasket is so thick. Any ideas? Do I need to take the gasket on the sides off?Big T wrote:I prefer outside strapping because it helps keep water out of the CC. I wouldn't weld the hinges on until you have the door cut out and strapped, if it does warp then you can straighten it with a jack and chain. If you're going to use a gasket on the door which I would recommend, then you'll need to space the door before welding the hinges in place.
It’s ok. I should have known to do that but when you get going it seems your brain shuts down. The door is still only just tacked on so it’s never too late.Big T wrote:You could've measured the door cut out and marked it center top to bottom and end to end then measured the tank the same way and aligned the marks but it seems like you've got it straightened out so that's good to hear. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner but it's deer season in my neck of the woods and there's no cell service where we hunt.
