My cabinet smoker

Post by iceman72 » November 20th, 2018, 5:54 pm

I have built an insulated cabinet smoker. Overall height of 40 inches. Since I just used 1 inch tubing I found some fireplace insulation that worked great.

Looking good.

I burn charcoal. This is my personal unit and it is almost done. Just playing around with ideas for latches. I built one for a friend just like this and just used toolbox latches, but they are not adjustable.

Closed is closed. Adjust it by aligning it properly then weld it on. Really don’t need it adjustable in my opinion.

What thickness steel did you use? How is the charcoal consumption?
