These epoxy primers are specified to go over blasted metal and adhere excellent. They’re thick and can easily be surfaced for basecoat. They can also handle up to 300deg if you’re using it on an insulated smoker.
I'm in the UK and can't seem to get PPG paint. Diggerg - that’s a nice looking color. I’d go with the black primer (it’s more of a dark gray anyways).
