I’m thinking you needed to have a meal or two negotiated in as part of the deal.
Jeez DT I need you on my negotiating team. I never even considered that. Might put that into the conversation on delivery...

I spent years in management.....call me next time!
Seriously tho....you have no idea if your product works unless you actually see it used and then taste the final product. Who knows, maybe the cook/you will see an improvement idea and get the contract for a revision. Personally, I would take pride in seeing my product used and would ask for a demonstration....free meal or not.
The product has been tested trust me, I made one about a year ago for the same bunch and that is part of the reason I got an order to do five slightly smaller ones.
The tucker that came of that first one was magnificent. They did a whole pig, some chooks and even roasted some veggies on a grid on the same fire.
I have made considerably improvements on the first one which I had absolutely no idea how the thing actually worked. I went from pictures on the interenet and a book by Mallman. The big thing is the cross has to be able to swing around easily and on the first one I used square tube. Bugger to have to lift it out to turn it around. These have round bar inside a round tube with a pin to stop it spinning. Works well. But I do like your idea of a free feed or two.

That would be like asking Lil Bopeep if she wants to donate a sheep to the cause...

Here are a few pics from the burning of the vines or as it is officially known Feast from the Fire. They used all five asado crosses I made, so I am happy. Unfortunately I had a stomach bug, which I did not want to give to anyone else and would mean anything I ate would not stay put... so I did not attend. My son-in-law took a bunch of pics.
