My Completed Mini Gravity Feed

Post by bjustison » July 25th, 2019, 10:12 pm

I had every intention to document my entire build but just never posted any of the build pictures. I bought myself a welder last year and taught myself to weld with the help of YouTube. I started my build last August and completed the frame before the cold North East winter started. I also had my second carpal tunnel surgery. I started working on my build again around April, working on it nights and weekends in my driveway. I finished it on July 3rd, 2019, did a test burn, and a seasoning. My first smoke on July 4th was awesome. I finally painted it last week. It works better than I expected. I learned so much building this smoker. I can't wait to build something else now.

Very nice... well done!

Quick question. What size CFM fan are you using?

I am using the BBQ Guru Pit Bull fan which is 25 CFM. It works well and the smoker comes to temperature fast. It will be interesting to see how it does in the winter.

I don't know. I can tell you it has three food grates, each 18"x22" and about 5" of clearance. I'm going to do three this weekend for a party.

You can fit a dozen smaller ones in it. I did 9 in mine last weekend and had room to spare. Bigger ones might be on the thick side to squeeze between the racks.
