It has been one hell of a week but I've managed to sneak a lil work in on Janet. I got the 3500 leafsprings on and sat Janet in place, she sits just fine. I'm not happy with the 5-6 inch clearance of firebox to ground. So I'm probably gonna put the springs over the axle. I got a few welds on to keep her from moving so I gotta finish welding smoker to trailer. I should have some free time tomorrow since it just rained pretty good so I'll get a chance to load some of the pics that I have

Grillsgt that looks hell for stout ... :LG:
...will you put an extra leaf on the drivers side shackle directly under the smoker? (level?) ... or is that overkill?
...are you thinking prep shelf coming out over the fender? :-B

And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy. :D

I don't think you will need an extra leaf on that side of the trailer unless you are not going to put anything on there. I would hafta put a log rack or somethin there.

I am planning, hopefully, to stiffen up the forward portion of trailer by frame with 2 1/2 or 3x 1/4 inch angle. My plans are to put storage racks for coolers and whatever towards the front and another along the backside of the smoke chamber for wood/charcoal. Thanks guys for pats on the back.

How did you guys stop all of the look and see'ers while you were working? I have found that only the serious hang around when they are put to work.. LOL

Not bad Sarge. They look much better than mine. I even own the first welder of the smokerbuilder himself. I still cant weld!

Thanks Smoke0ne. As long as my joints are easy to get to, I do ok. If they hide in any other way, I struggle. Like on the round welds(globbs of metal) around 1/2 inch pipe for firebox damper.

I thought I would finsh the other two racks 2day but Mother Nature had other plans. So I spent the day running parts. Ballvalve and latches to hold doors down. Gotta find thermometers now.
