Wood Grates

Post by rschust » June 21st, 2020, 9:46 am

I feel like a dummy for taking so long to use a firewood grate in my fire box. Just picked up a cheapo version for a regular home fire place and I am blown away by how much more controlled the burn is and stable my temp is. x_x somebody should have slapped me in the head a long time ago :headwall:

Sometimes it’s just the little things that make a huge difference. The important thing is that you figured it out.

Love it. And thanks for putting it out there. I’m sure someone else is slapping their forehead after reading this too.

It's amazing what a little airflow does for a fire. I'm glad that you figured it out.
