So if I am seeing it correctly the fire box throat is on the top, not the side?

First cook on the behemoth

Took about 20 hours for a 15 lb prime brisket. Rubbed with salt and pepper only.

As my mentor used to say “ you don’t need teeth to eat this bbq”
It was really good

Sams stores here has prime brisket for 3.98!per lb

No substitute for prime. IMHO

Agreed. I am a strong believer that a person should start with the best cut of brisket that is available. To smoke one is such a time and money commitment that failure is NOT an option!
