This is your best looking build yet Boomer. Love this one. The handles and hinges on the CC look fantastic together.

Got my stack welded on, still need to do the damper. Also cut the tuning plates and put on the grate for the lower rack. Debated on putting a toe plate around it, but I think it looks good without it. What do you guys think?

What do you mean toe plate? Like a kick plate around the bottom of the cart?

Yes, to keep wood from falling off. I'm thinking another square tube about 2 inches up might do nicely. Total height would be 4 inches.

Ya. I would do something like that. I mounted my expanded to the bottom of the cart rails instead of the top like yours. It gave me a 1.5” lip to keep stuff in. Not prefect for everything but does the trick for most.

This one is ready to cook on, I'm going to fire it up tomorrow and test it out. Got a brisket in the fridge.
I still have to put the stack damper on, but I don't need that to cook.

Thanks, I like it, too. Should last just about forever. I had better luck on the last cook butting the tuning plates up tight , with just a tiny gap on one end. I'm learning. :D

No, that's 1/2 inch schedule 80 pipe on the outside. The rest is 1/2 inch round bar.

Hahaha! I bet. I’ve roasted a few logs sitting on top. I put a couple pieces of angle iron on top of the box now. Seems to help. I bet you could put a couple spacers in there.

I would make sure the pipe in the log rack has a hole drilled in it to let pressure equalize. Solid bar would have been a safer way to go, especially in the firebox.
