Worst case, you could pop a vent through at the bottom of your door.Chriz wrote:Mmm…..during a cook you mean?
Do you expect issues?
Could ofcourse Empty the ash tray.
I didn’t think it would be an issue during a cook.
Hope I didn’t miss judge that….
Yes, during a cook. I would expect you to have ash dropping and block the air vent. Other problem is potential for hot ash to fall out and start a grass fire. See if it is a problem but possibly a narrow strip of steel across your ash tray might be a quick and easy solution to keep the ash back and still allow airflow.
I agree on the hotspot. There’s a builder here in the states Moberg Smokers that does something similar. Not quite as long but a wider pipe that constricts down like you have.Chriz wrote: ↑May 1st, 2021, 10:08 amThe stack was build using a bent peace to optimize the airflow, the 90 degres piece makes it horizontal, didn’t see that coming but will pull the hotspot back away from the grate I suppose [emoji56]
The legs are inward a bit, not sure what you mean, but the other picture had a better angle maybe so you can see it better!
